The earliest spark of what would become Sacramental ignited back in third and fourth grade, though it existed more as a playful concept than a tangible band under the moniker "Enslave Da Göats." The real momentum began when Axel and Ryan both started learning guitar around the same time. In a parallel development, Jack and Isaiah were already jamming together on bass and drums, laying down a solid rhythmic foundation. As Axel recalls, the pieces started to click when Jack excitedly announced, "Axel, I found a drummer for our band!" This led to an initial jam session where Axel, Jack (who he'd known since birth), and Isaiah tore through Metallica's "Master of Puppets," solidifying their musical connection.
Soon after, they brought Ryan into the fold as their first official guitarist. It wasn't long before another guitarist, Kyle, who had also recently picked up the instrument, joined their ranks. The early rehearsals were a mix of raw energy and shared enthusiasm, marked by their learning of Nirvana's iconic "Smells Like Teen Spirit." Then came sixth grade and the arrival of Adam, the new kid in school. A seemingly small detail – Axel's Dungeons and Dragons water bottle – became the catalyst for a significant connection. Spotting the imagery, Adam pointed and asked, "You play?" "Yeah," Axel replied, and with a simple exchange of names – "Cool, I'm Adam," "Axel" – and a handshake, an important friendship was forged. Adam initially joined their crew as a roadie, eventually picking up a fourth guitar. The band is still anticipating the day he figures out how to connect his keyboard to a speaker, ready to unleash another dimension to their sound. And that, in its wonderfully serendipitous way, is how Sacramental began to take shape.
